Awesome sandwiches... They do not skimp on the toppings. You get a lot of meat and I asked for bean sprouts and they loaded it up. The sandwich was too big to eat in one sitting... Very delicious

Hole in the Wall is the best sandwich spot in Humboldt. The people who prepare the sandwiches are friendly and always have a smile on their face. They are super clean as I always see them wash their hands between sandwiches. My advice: try to go before or after 12pm to avoid long lines. Or call your order in and it will be ready when you get there! ❤👌 I love hole in the wall.

Seriously, ask a local where to eat and they should be able to give your the ( Hole in the wall ) place that locals eat at. My God the sandwiches here have all of the best ingredients you can get. Great staff and efficient service with a smile. Parking is at a premium during peak hours so plan accordingly.

This place made some of the best sandwiches I had. It was super busy the day we stopped by. We had a pastrami sandwich, turkey and provolone and a tuna sandwich. All were very fresh and oh so tasty!

Huge sandwiches! One is enough for 2 people. Hot and cold sandwiches, chips, soda, and other sides. I usually get the sourdough bread for when I go hiking. They also sell alcoholic beverages

Every town I visit, I try to find a locally owned shop to eat at. I was going to take a picture of the beautiful sandwich the gentleman behind the counter recommended (I asked), but I just kept eating until it was gone, lol. Hot pastrami, on a sourdough roll, with everything on it. 5/5, I WILL be coming again next time through Eureka.

Customize your own delicious giant sandwich :) When we would visit from the Midwest, we'd always look forward to Hole in the Wall. Our favorite is Dutch crunch bread with marinated tofu! When my family was visiting, they were full from one sandwich and a bag of chips. The entrance is easy to miss, so watch carefully, or even enter from the side street instead. Also, they close a bit early, which is a bummer when we're looking for food and can't go there. Also, it seems like there should be a way to streamline the ordering process to make it easier for newbies.. Step 1 pick a a bread, step 2 meat/tofu, step 3 cheese, step 4 veggies, step 5 salt/pepper, step 6 sauce. Actually, I'm still not sure of the sequence lol. We just kind of wait for them to ask, then look at the paragraph of that item (veggies or cheese, etc) and say what we want. I'd like to be a better customer, but I need some sort of left to right or numbers to follow because we don't go there often enough.

Love it here! One of my favorite local sandwich shops. Great variety of sandwiches and sides. Prices are very fair, facility was clean & staff was friendly. Simple and fresh ingredients. Their veggies always look so fresh and appealing. My favorite is the BLT. I definitely recommend this place is you’re looking for a quick bite and amazing tasting sandwiches.

Want a sandwich? Good choice! As a east coast transplant finding an edible sandwich can be difficult. This place is pretty dank. Good bread options, tons of quality cheese options on top of the wide range of sandwich choices.

Friendly service with great sandwiches. Hole in the Wall has been my favorite sandwich stop for going on 25 years. Yes they sandwiches a few bucks more than Subway but they are worth every penny. I highly recommend the Hot Pastrami or the Club.

My man loves this place! If you want a fresh sandwich the size of a a boxers knuckles put together that will fill you up and have everything you love in it exactly how you like it, this is the place! the sauces is the key! i would highly suggest, if you're not already to be as local as possible because subway doesn't have some the stuff and freshness you guys have and that's the only competition i can possibly think of to you guys! affordable and yummy! keep it up!

I hadn't been on years and my friend from out of town really wanted to go. I chose a French roll which ended up being dry and way to much bread. Then got told it's $1 for cheese, a regular sandwich should come with cheese. I liked the selection of chips and drinks but I'll stick to Murphy's market where my sandwich is half the price.

All I have to say is WOW! This place is so tasty! We ordered the Turkey breast with pickles (the pickles were deli pickles, so good), the Salami and cheese, the Italian combo, and the bbq sandwich and ALL of them were great! Plus the employees were all super friendly. We highly recommend this place!

Take their phone off the hook. Call for over an hour. Forced to drive down there, stand in line, order, wait before finding out they are out of the bread I wanted. When asked why they take the phone off the hook.. because we were busy. Ended up leaving with no sandwich. Pathetic.

I went in here to order a sandwich. Several people in line. I was getting hangery. (hunger anger) I Tried recognizing this and telling the lady when it came to be my turn my order. She couldn't hear me after repeating myself several times no matter how loud I spoke. Then I wrote down my order. I got uncomfortable cuz she straight up dropped a sharpie hella loud and sarcastic right by my paper as I was writing. So I asked for help from someone else. She got too "worried" to stop talking about if I was alright and actually take my order. I asked the guy who was working there to take my order. Nope. He started asking me if I wanted mayo and mustard with a list in front of him. I don't get what I did wrong. I even left a bigger person.

The bread was so fresh and fluffy. The veggies were firm and perfectly ripe. Would definitely stop here the next time we pass through! So yummy 😋

30 years eating here and it still amazes me just how good it is. And I totally appreciate the mandatory mask policy. I will be eating here until I die.

My husband has been looking for a good sourdough bread for i cant tell you how long. Random find of this place and he got what he was looking for! He says this is by far the best sandwich he has ever had from a sandwich shop! We will definitely return. My sandwich was great to. He had the hot pastrami and i had the black Forest ham. We love it! Keep up the great job guys and gals!

Got a hot pastrami sandwich on sliced sour dough bread. It was so greasy and so much fat the sandwich was not good. When wrapping my sandwich she rolled it up as if it was a sd roll so when I opened my sandwich everything was mashed in the middle with nothing between the crust. My friend got another sandwich and she said hers was good. 🤷‍♀️

Simply the best sandwiches anywhere! I have traveled all over this beautiful country and have been to many sandwich shops and these guys blow all others away! There is no better sandwich shop anywhere...

im not a local & haven’t been here in over 6 months, but i literally had a dream about this place last night so i felt compelled to leave a review. this is my FAVORITE sandwich shop ever. i live 4 hours away but travel to humboldt twice a year, this is my lunch spot for vacation every single time. these sandwiches are quite literally what dreams are made of lol.

Omg, best Reuben, hands down... which is saying a lot since I'd eat a Reuben for every meal of my life. FAST service, fresh, yummy ingredients, clean store and restroom, and friendly, busy staff. The cute guy with the mustache made my sandwich perfect! Thanks guys, will be back. Probably every day.

Love the variety of sandwiches on the board, and you can build your own if you please. The staff is always so friendly. The store is always clean. I love the smoked turkey on Brio rolls with smoked cheddar or Gouda and all the fixings. One of the best sandwiches I have eaten. Love you Hole in the Wall!!! ❤️💯

Absolutely the rudest people you ask a question about their sandwichs and imediately the staff gets irratated and dont want to help you for whatever reason they want to make it difficult to order a sandwich I dont understand how their in buisness unless this is normal treatment for the area. Zero customers service skills inconvient to get too I will never return to this horrible place!

My mom used to go there all the time she loves the vegies sand. Now that we live in mck. We visit arcata store . I wish you also would have cilantro for your sand. Like they do. But still her fav place to get a huge sand yummy.

I walked in and the place looks like a deli while smelling like heaven. Nice basic place, very friendly staff, and my BBQ shredded pork on Dutch Crunch break was wonderful

They made a delicious sandwich but were out of a lot of different kinds of bread. Also didn't realize there is no indoor seating, so we had to eat in the car. Again though, the sandwich they made was tasty. And lots of chip choices!
